Management  Apex Information Solutions Project Managers plan, manage, and report time and budget progress on the delivery of the information solution. The project manager, in collaboration with the client and development team members, defines project scope, task duration, costs, and quality assurance parameters. Project managers work closely with the client to identify and mitigate risks to a level acceptable to the client. Our project management approach is based on the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). This guide compiles the best practices of project management across all industries. We include software processes from Rational Software's RUP with the PMBOK to provide comprehensive project management capabilities to our clients. Apex project managers are PMI members. We encourage them to become a Project Management Professional (PMP), which is the PMI certification for project management expertise. Apex follows the software industry's recommendations for iterative development, in which each project phase delivers a working solution to the client. Inception phases address the highest risk technical issues early on so that risk may be mitigated or alternative solutions sought. Subsequent phases deliver additional functionality until all features scoped in the requirements phase are complete. |
